Fund management from the centre out
ThemisYu's fund management business manages several funds and financial instruments. It is supported by large, financially strong partners and banks. The platform has a centre of gravity, and it is DEEZ, the Group's own fund, run on the same intelligence, integrity, and innovation that guide the rest of ThemisYu.
A platform with a strong centre behaves differently. Decisions elsewhere can draw on the centre's processes, partners, and reporting, while every vehicle is held to the same three words that govern DEEZ, which are discipline, patience, and accountability.
The Centre
DEEZ, the reference fund
DEEZ, Diversified Revenue and Issuance Center, is the investment fund of the ThemisYu Group and the centre of its management platform, one portfolio under one mandate, reported as one set of numbers, and standing on large, financially strong partners and banks.
That is what the name places at the centre. DEEZ is the central hub for diversified income and for issuing instruments. Income is drawn from several sources; instruments are created and put out from one point; the platform's other funds and instruments are arranged around that point.
Its purpose is the Group's investment philosophy in miniature. Preserve capital first, grow it steadily, and treat partners' money as something held, not something spent.
The reference standard
Other funds and instruments on the platform are measured against the way DEEZ commits, monitors, and reports. The centre exists to make good process habitual. What is expected of one fund is expected of every vehicle. Many groups guard the flagship and run the rest loosely. Here the standard is not allowed to loosen with distance from the centre.
Published, not summarised
The fund's mandate, approach, and regulatory record are published by DEEZ itself, in the fund's own words. ThemisYu points to that record rather than translating it.
The Platform
Other funds and instruments
Around the centre, ThemisYu manages other funds and financial instruments for partners whose needs one fund cannot cover. Different horizons, different structures, different appetites for risk. The vehicles differ; the standards do not.
The Group's partners and banks stand behind this work with balance-sheet strength and banking relationships that reach across markets. Their capital makes it possible to structure commitments that would be difficult to arrange alone, and to hold them through demanding conditions.
Each vehicle is managed to its own documented mandate, committed through the Group's process, and reported as its numbers stand. Filling a range is not a reason to launch a vehicle; a mandate is.
Approach
How the platform is run
The same three words govern the platform that govern the fund. At the Group's scale, they look like this.
Discipline
Capital is committed through the Group's process. Written criteria, documented decisions, and a strong centre where practice is tested before it is spread.
Patience
ThemisYu holds its positions the way it holds its partners, deliberately, and for the long term. The Group strives to build fewer commitments properly rather than fill a portfolio quickly.
Accountability
Reporting is the Group's licence to operate. Partners hear what was decided, why, and how it turned out, on time, whichever fund or instrument they hold.
Oversight
Governance and Oversight
Governance on the platform runs fund by fund and instrument by instrument, under one rule. Whoever decides answers to whoever oversees, and both answer to the partners.
At the centre, DEEZ is subject to independent oversight and disciplined reporting of the kind its own page describes. Around the centre, the same instinct applies. Every vehicle is measured against its own stated objectives, and none are exempt.
